LNG Energy Group is a vertically integrated natural gas exploration and production company with activities in Colombia and Venezuela. The company is headquartered in Toronto and has offices in Houston and Bogotá. Its shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol LNGE.

In Colombia, LNG Energy Group holds interest and is the operator in the following onshore blocks in northern Colombia, covering approximately 800,000 gross acres:

  • Sinú-San Jacinto-1 producing block (50%), which encompasses the Bullerengue producing gasfield and the undeveloped Pollera and Merecumbe gasfields
  • Sinú-San Jacinto-3-1 exploration block (50%)
  • Perdices appraisal block (50%)
  • VIM 41 appraisal and development block (100%)
  • VIM 42 exploration block (50%)

All blocks are located in close proximity to transportation infrastructure and markets. The Bullerengue producing field has been in production since 2016 and yields approximately 1.1 mcm (38 mcf) per day of natural gas.

To carry out its operations, LNG Energy Group owns two drilling rigs of 1,600 hp and 1,000 hp and one 500-hp workover rig, as well as the processing and transportation infrastructure on the Bullerengue site. The company has an in-house oilfield services team and offers drilling rig services to third parties in Colombia to optimise asset use and generate revenues.

In Venezuela, the company holds two participation contracts in the Nipa, Nardo, Niebla, Budare and Elotes offshore fields. They are linked to existing transportation infrastructure and cumulatively produce approximately 3,000 bopd, of which 50-56% accrues to LNG Energy Group.

Under its ESG strategy, LNG Energy Group has completed a programme to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and it mitigated or captured 18,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2023.
