ExxonMobil: Output hits 900,000 bopd in Guyana’s Stabroek block

GEORGETOWN, November 13, 2025 – Crude oil output from Guyana’s offshore Stabroek block has reached 900,000 barrels per day following the ramp-up of the Yellowtail project to full capacity, ExxonMobil said on Tuesday.

The new record follows the commissioning of Yellowtail, the country’s fourth offshore development, which has achieved its nameplate capacity of 250,000 bopd. The Liza Phase 1, Liza Phase 2 and Payara projects also contributed to the increase.

More than USD 60 billion has been committed by the Stabroek block partners to seven sanctioned projects, with Uaru and Whiptail set to begin production in 2026 and 2027 at around 250,000 bopd each. Hammerhead, the seventh project, is slated to add 150,000 bopd from 2029.

A potential eighth project, Longtail, is under regulatory review. Once operational, total output from the eight developments is forecast to reach 1.7 million bopd by 2030.

ExxonMobil Guyana is the operator of the Stabroek block with a 45% interest, while Hess Guyana Exploration holds 30% and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana 25%.
