Mexmot

Mexmot is a Mexican electrical engineering company that supplies electrical equipment and services including motors, control and distribution systems, generators, turbines and instrumentation to the domestic and international markets.

The company organises its activities under the following main divisions:

  • Power, which offers engineering and equipment for power generation and transmission infrastructure, as well as installation and maintenance services
  • Automotive, which offers design, installation and integration of automation and optimisation systems for manufacturing and process control
  • Industrial, which focuses on the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation for industrial power trains in existing and greenfield facilities
  • Mining, which offers power equipment for mining projects as well as software to run process diagnostics and remote operations.
  • Oil and gas, which specialises in electrical systems and instrumentation for production and processing facilities
  • Water treatment, which offers electrical equipment for filtering, pumping, ventilation and compression operations, as well as systems design and integration services

To source equipment and conduct its activities, Mexmot has established partnerships with international engineering companies and OEMs such as ABB, Siemens, Bently Nevada, Alstom, GE and Emerson, among others. In addition, Mexmot has dedicated in-house teams and access to specialised partner networks to carry out installations and calibration of SCADA systems and various types of monitoring and asset protection equipment.

Recent projects carried out by Mexmot include:

  • Modernisation of all mid-voltage equipment in the José López Portillo coal-fired power plant
  • Modernisation the CFE’s transmission network
  • Maintenance and modernisation of the CFE’s installed base of the LM6000 and TM2500 gas turbines
