Transoceanic Energy Group

Transoceanic Energy Group is a Nigerian integrated energy company engaged in gas and power development. The group’s activities centre around the exploration, production and delivery of gas and the generation of electricity, serving customers in Nigeria and regionally.

The company’s midstream gas assets include:

  • Gathering systems linked to producing gasfields
  • Processing facilities
  • Storage
  • Transmission and distribution infrastructure

Transoceanic’s platform links upstream gas resources with midstream processing, LNG production, gas distribution and power generation, and hence to residential, commercial and industrial consumers.

The company’s growth strategy is built around monetising Nigerian gas through a clustered gas-to-products and gas-to-power model. To this end, Transoceanic is developing an FLNG project in the shallow water regions close to OPL 289, with plans to process gas into LNG, LPG and condensates.

In parallel, the company is developing a power barge concept to locate generation capacity in the vicinity of Nigeria’s offshore gas resources and emerging processing infrastructure, aiming to optimise feed gas supplies, reduce infrastructure risk and improve energy access for industrial customers. The project is expected to deliver 500 MW of on-grid generation capacity in its first phase, with potential expansion to 1 GW.
