The conference will address Argentina’s renewable energy outlook and provide a strategic overview of the development needed to enable the renewable energy industry to succeed in Argentina.

Conference sessions will examine regulation, policy, economics, investment, technology & innovation, strategy and updates from existing renewable energy projects. Specific attention will be paid to securing foreign investment, establishing a solid & sustainable regulatory framework and comparisons across Latin America.

The Renewable Energy Congress – Argentina will feature a break-out exhibition showcasing the latest products and services from across the renewable energy industry. The exhibition will also host networking throughout the course of the congress, bringing together the renewable energy production chain from across Latin and North America.

The conference will examine key developments across policy, strategy, economics and technology, with particular attention paid to operational results thus far. The Argentina Shale Gas & Oil Summit will feature a break-out exhibition showcasing the latest products and services from across the shale gas industry. The exhibition will also host networking throughout the course of the summit, bringing together national & local government, investors, contractors and operators with service and solution providers.

This years event will be held from 21 to 24 September in the city of Neuquen, in the DUAM space, where more than 7,000 visitors and 150 exhibitors are expected to attend.

Last year, South Africa launched its ambitious gas-to- power program, rolling out a request for information as the government sought accelerated growth to address the current energy crisis facing the country. South Africa has over the past 12 months garnered international interest for the introduction of a standardised procurement process. The South Africa Gas Options 2015 meeting was an enormous success, with over 300 people attending a packed-out forum. The meeting heard directly from Minister of Energy Tina Joemat-Pettersson, the IPP Office, and presidential advisers specifically seeking to engage with the private sector on RFI to RFP.

Excitingly, the gas-to- power landscape in South Africa has moved even further forward with the recent call for expressions of interest for the appointment of strategic partners to assist state-owned companies in the development of a 600MW gas-fired power plant. This is in addition to the existing determination for the 3,126MW gas-to- power program for which a PIM will be issued between June and August 2016.

In the last 12 months Nigeria’s electricity sector has been transformed with the arrival of Minister Babatunde Fashola, Minister for Power, Works and Housing, who has set out clearly his intention to break down the barriers to investment in the country’s energy sector. Following President Buhari’s lead to tackle bottlenecks and inefficiencies the Minister has embarked on a strategy to get the distribution companies working, providing support and regular interactions with the privately held companies that have worked tirelessly to build the electricity backbone of Nigeria.

The Conference has grown to become the leading strategic meeting, providing opportunities in all sectors to do business in the fastest growing part of Iraq.

The Offshore WIND conference (OWC) will also be part of OEEC again, taking place on 24 and 25 October at the Amsterdam RAI, further strengthening OEECs connection to renewables. The event is expected to attract over 11,500 offshore professionals and more than 650 exhibiting companies.
