CB&I starts work on Louisiana power plant
USA NEW ORLEANS, February 1, 2017 – Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) announced on Tuesday that it had started working on a 980-MW gas-fired power plant for the Entergy Corporation in Montz, Lousiana.
The long-delayed project is planned to be one of the most efficient and cleanest fossil-fuel units operated by Entergy Louisiana.
“CB&I has a long history with Entergy, most recently working together to successfully complete the Ninemile Unit 6, combined-cycle gas turbine unit in Westwego, Louisiana,” CB&I CEO Philip Asherman said in a statement.
“CB&I looks forward to helping Entergy Louisiana meet the region’s growing energy demand with new, clean, affordable and reliable power generation.”
