Chevron’s CABGOC contracts Shelf rig in Angola

LUANDA, June 18, 2021 – Chevron Angola subsidiary CABGOC has contracted Shelf Drilling’s Tenacious jackup rig for one year, the offshore contractor announced on Wednesday.

The Tenacious will be deployed for Cabinda Gulf Oil Company starting in January, Shelf told Rigzone, under a contract with multiple option periods.

The contract value was not specified.

CABGOC has an operated interest in Block 0, off the coast of Cabinda province, and the deepwater Block 14, as well as a non-operated interest in the Angola LNG plant in Soyo.
