DNO triples Peshkabir output
OSLO, December 11, 2017 – The Peshkabir-3 well has increased output from the Peshkabir field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to 15,000 bopd, the Norwegian company announced on Monday.
The field is part of the Tawke licence, whose total output in 2017 has averaged 110,000 bopd, the company statement added. DNO operates the licence with a 75% stake. Its partner there is Genel Energy, which holds the remaining 25%.
“As previously announced, the Tawke licence partners are proceeding with fast-track plans to commission an early production facility by year-end and complete installation of pipeline connections early in 2018 to allow ramp-up of output at the Peshkabir field,” DNO added in the press release. “Preparations are underway to drill the Peshkabir-4 well, which will also be designed to test the underlying Triassic reservoir.”
