Ghana LPG strike continues
ACCRA, May 23, 2018 – Ghanaian LPG workers continued to strike Tuesday in protest of the government’s cylinder recirculation model, local media reported.
The nation-wide strike, which began Monday, is intended to prevent the implementation of the government’s plan to move LPG bottling plants away from residential areas. The cylinder recirculation model was developed after a gas explosion at a filling point in an Accra suburb last year.
Ghana Oil Company LPG outlets are still operating, Ghana News Agency reported.
