Glenfarne picks Worley for Alaska LNG pipeline job

ANCHORAGE, May 28, 2025 – Glenfarne has selected Worley to provide final engineering work and cost estimates ahead of an FID on the Alaska LNG pipeline, the companies announced on Tuesday.

The appointment marks a critical step towards the development of the pipeline, which is intended to supply natural gas from the North Slope to the planned Alaska LNG export facility in Nikiski.

Worley’s mandate includes updating previous engineering studies and cost data to prepare the project for FID in 2025.

The Alaska LNG Pipeline will span 1,299 kilometres, transporting gas in two construction phases. Phase One will carry gas 1,231 kilometres from the North Slope to Anchorage.

Phase Two will add 68 kilometres under Cook Inlet and install compression systems to complete the link to the Nikiski terminal.

Worley will also serve as Glenfarne’s project delivery adviser across the broader Alaska LNG project and as the preferred engineering partner for the Cook Inlet Gateway LNG import terminal.
