Halliburton wins Norway stimulation contract from ConocoPhillips

STAVANGER, August 15, 2025 – Halliburton has secured a five-year contract from ConocoPhillips Skandinavia to provide well stimulation services in Norway’s North Sea sector, the company said on Wednesday.

The contract includes three optional extension periods and involves converting the Tidewater vessel North Pomor into a dedicated stimulation unit. It will feature Octiv digital fracturing services aimed at enhancing equipment performance and operational efficiency.

“This contract win complements our extensive experience in well stimulation and highlights how we execute globally,” Halliburton senior vice-president Mark Dawson said.

Halliburton’s stimulation services focus on enhancing well productivity and reservoir contact through technologies such as hydraulic fracturing, acidising and sand control. ConocoPhillips is a major independent oil and gas producer with operations in more than a dozen countries. In Norway, it is a key operator on the Norwegian continental shelf, including the Ekofisk area.
