India takes biggest LNG cargo to date
GUJARAT, December 4, 2014 – On Wednesday, India received its biggest shipment of LNG to date – 261,000 cubic metres – at Petronet’s LNG Dahej LNG import terminal in Gujarat. The shipment came from the Ras Laffan LNG Company in Qatar, as per a long-term contract signed with RasGas 10 years ago.
This delivery comes at a time when Petronet LNG is expanding the capacity of the Dahej LNG import terminal from 10 to 15 million tonnes per year by 2016. Last November, the company declared a further expansion of 2.5 million tonnes per year.
