Iraq’s second-largest field enters production
BAGDAD, November 10, 2014 – On Saturday, Russia’s Lukoil Mid-East began producing 120,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) at Iraq’s second largest oilfield, West Qurna-2. Operator Lukoil expects output to increase to 1.2 million bopd, potentially pushing Iraq’s production levels to more than 4 million bopd by the end of 2014.
