Oil Search in PNG gas find
Papua New Guinea PORT MORESBY, January 4, 2018 – Oil Search has discovered gas in Papua New Guinea, the company announced on Thursday.
Analysis of the find, made in the P’nyang South 2 well in the PRL 3 licence, is ongoing, Oil Search added in its latest drilling report.
“The Toro and Digimu Formation sands are interpreted to be hydrocarbon (gas) saturated with good reservoir quality,” the report said. “This is in line with Oil Search’s pre-drill prognosis and has confirmed the presence of gas in this part of the field.”
