SLB wins five-year Aramco deal for unconventional gas development
DAMMAM, December 23, 2025 – SLB has secured a five-year contract from Aramco to deliver stimulation services supporting unconventional gas production in Saudi Arabia, the US energy technology company said on Monday.
The agreement is part of a wider multi-billion-dollar deal and includes advanced stimulation, well intervention, frac automation and digital solutions. These technologies are aimed at accelerating Saudi Arabia’s strategy to diversify its energy mix and strengthen gas as a transition fuel.
“This agreement is an important step forward in Aramco’s efforts to diversify its energy portfolio in line with Vision 2030 and energy transition goals,” SLB executive vice-president Steve Gassen said.
“With world-class technology, deep local expertise, and a proven track record in safety and service quality, SLB is well positioned to deliver tailored solutions that could help redefine operational performance in the development of Saudi Arabia’s unconventional resources.”
