The Energy Year UAE 2023 highlights the UAE’s relentless journey to actively embrace the energy transition through pioneering clean energy projects in the areas of solar, nuclear and hydrogen. With COP28 being held in Dubai, this year’s edition underscores the strong efforts made by local and international companies to decarbonise industry operations under the premise of “Maximum Energy, Minimum Emissions.” The strategy aims to ramp up energy production while achieving net zero by mid-century.

The Energy Year UAE 2023 delves into the UAE’s efforts to foster cleaner and greener energy projects that materialise the principles of energy diversification and security, the pragmatic approach ADNOC has taken to increase oil and gas production, the importance of new technologies for achieving more efficient and sustainable operations, and the push for local manufacturing to eventually establish the UAE as a regional hub via the Make it in the Emirates initiative.

This first edition of The Energy Year UAE series provides international and local investors with deep insights into the intricate dynamics shaping the present and future of the UAE’s diversified energy industry. This brand-new edition offers a holistic overview of the main undertakings and opportunities found across the Emirates’ entire energy value chain – including oil, gas, solar, nuclear, waste-to-energy and hydrogen.
