Ghana nudges India for oil and gas investment

ACCRA, February 8, 2023 – Ghana has invited India to invest in making the country an oil and gas hub for Western Africa, Ghanaian Deputy Minister of Energy William Owuraku Aidoo said on Wednesday.

The country has asked India to consider three blocks in the Tano Cape Three Points Basin and build several 30,000-bpd refineries.

The Ghanaian minister announced that Ghana’s oil production could reach an average of between 120,000 bpd and 150,000 bpd in 2023.

Aidoo met with India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri on the side lines of India Gas Week, which runs from February 6 to February 8, 2023, in Bengaluru.
