NG Energy brings Colombia gas pipeline on stream
BOGOTA, August 27, 2024 – A pipeline in Colombia connecting Jobo to the Brujo Central Processing Facility has been commissioned, NG Energy International Corp. announced on Monday.
The Brujo CPF is a key piece of infrastructure for the Sinu-9 gasfield development located in the Lower Magdalena Basin in the department of Córdoba. NG Energy’s working interest in Sinu-9 is 72%.
The new pipeline has a capacity of 1.13 mcm (40 mcf) per day, and the field has gross 1P reserves of around 9.65 bcm (340.8 bcf).
NG Energy infrastructure partners INFRAES and Kronos conducted the EPC and commissioning works for the greenfield pipeline.
“The commissioning of this pipeline marks a significant milestone in the Company’s mission of bringing natural gas to the national transportation system from one of the most prolific onshore natural gas discoveries in Colombia in the last 20 years,” NG Energy said in a press release.
INFRAES CEO Hugo Giraldo said the pipeline and its future phases would “significantly contribute to urgently addressing Colombia’s current gas supply challenges.”
Vancouver-headquartered NG Energy is a publicly traded E&P focused on developing natural gas in Colombia.
