Saipem wins work for $3.7 billion in Angola’s Kaminho project
MILAN, May 21, 2024 – Saipem has been awarded three new contracts by TotalEnergies EP Angola Block 20 relating to the development of the Cameia and Golfinho oilfields offshore Angola, Saipem announced on Tuesday.
The overall amount of the contracts is USD 3.7 billion.
The first two contracts call for EPC plus transportation and commissioning of the Kaminho FPSO, and operations and maintenance of the vessel for a firm period of 12 years with a potential eight-year extension.
The third contract involves EPIC plus supply, pre-commissioning and assistance for the commissioning and start-up of a subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowlines package. The associated structures will be fabricated in Saipem’s local yard in Ambriz.
Saipem’s award follows the announcement on Tuesday of a FID on the Kaminho deepwater project by TotalEnergies and block partners Petronas and Sonangol.
For the offshore campaign, Saipem will deploy its field development ship and will widely involve the local supply chain for logistics and fabrication activities.
