Singapore’s Sembcorp fabricates wind substations
Singapore SINGAPORE, August 16, 2021 – Sembcorp Marine has finished fabricating an offshore substation and a reactive compensation station for Ørsted Wind Power, the Singaporean engineering company announced on Sunday.
The two substations with a combined weight of 10,200 tonnes will be used on the Hornsea Two offshore wind farm in the North Sea next to the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Hornsea One.
The assets left Sembcorp Marine’s yard on Sunday and will arrive at their destination at the end of September 2021.
