LUANDA, July 2, 2024 – SLB OneSubsea has won a contract from TotalEnergies in Angola to install 13 wellsets for the Kaminho deepwater project, Upstream Online reported on Tuesday.

The SLB-Aker-Subsea7 joint venture was cited as saying that its scope of work will include delivering a configurable subsea production system for the first phase of the Cameia field development.

The value of the contract was not disclosed, but it was termed “sizeable.”

The Kaminho project, covering the Cameia and Golfinho fields, involves the conversion of a very large crude carrier into an FPSO unit, which will be connected to a subsea production network.

A final investment decision on the project was announced in May by TotalEnergies (40%), along with its Block 20/11 partners, Petronas (40%) and Sonangol (20%).

Kaminho is slated to reach a plateau production of 70,000 bopd in 2027.
