HOUSTON, July 2, 2024 – Energy industry giants TotalEnergies and SLB have inked a 10-year agreement to collaborate on scalable digital solutions for enabling efficient access to energy resources, the companies said on Tuesday.

The collaboration will be directed towards creating more sustainable hydrocarbons production, with a focus on areas such as carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS).

The two companies plan to jointly develop next-generation software available in the cloud, with the co-development expected to benefit TotalEnergies’ global operations and SLB’s global customer base.

“With this visionary partnership, we’re combining the know-how and expertise of both companies to accelerate the delivery of new digital capabilities that will benefit the whole industry,” said Rakesh Jaggi, president of SLB’s Digital & Integration business.

SLB and TotalEnergies previously collaborated on Intersect, a latest-generation reservoir simulator.
