The Energy Year Angola 2024 report was launched at the Galerias Isabel Fançony in the Angolan capital of Luanda. This is the ninth consecutive edition of The Energy Year on Angola.

The event was attended by the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) executive administrator Alcides Andrade and by the Association of Exploration and Production Companies of Angola (ACEPA) president Billy Lacobie as keynote speakers, and was sponsored by CABSHIP, Etu Energias, Azule Energy, Nossa Seguros, Catoca, ChampionX Químicos and McDermott.

The Energy Year Angola 2024 highlights the latest key developments and future opportunities for Angolas energy value chain, including the governments plans to stabilise oil production, boost gas output, increase the electrification rate and navigate the worlds energy transition.

The Energy Year Angola 2024 identifies the main opportunities present in Angolas energy ecosystem, showcases the key projects that will drive growth in the countrys oil and gas, power, and energy-transition minerals sectors, and highlights Angolas push to become a logistics hub for the region and the world. Produced in partnership with the ANPG, KPMG and ENDIAMA, this ninth edition of The Energy Years Angola series is the most up-to-date and in-depth guide on the evolving Angolan energy market, identifying the countrys untapped opportunities as it strives to situate itself within the new global energy landscape.

The event also featured an Awards Ceremony, where The Energy Year’s team distributed seven awards honouring individuals, companies and projects for their exceptional contributions to the domestic market over the past year. Etu Energias’ chairman of the boardEdson R. Dos Santos was selected as the Person of the Year for leading Etu Energias’ transformational rebranding process and carrying out his vision of expanding the company’s business across the entire energy value chain in Angola and internationally.
