NG Energy is a Canadian company focused on the exploration and production of natural gas in Colombia. The company is growth oriented, aiming to deliver long-term shareholder and stakeholder value. At the end of 2024, it produced 509,400-566,000 cubic metres (18-20 mcf) of gas per day and has a gas treatment and compression plant that can process up to 566,600 mcm (20 mcf) per day, which the company markets through Colombia’s midstream network.

NG Energy has three blocks in Colombia:

  • María Conchita is the company’s first producing block, and its output is continuing to increase as the firm drills more wells.
  • Sinú-9 is the company’s flagship block, with 3P reserves of around 6.95 bcm (245.3 bcf) and the potential to produce 3.4 mcm (120 mcf) of gas per day.
  • Tiburón is a block with high potential in La Guajira region, located near the prolific fields of Chuchupa and Ballena.

NG Energy’s mission is to discover and develop large-scale gasfields in the Americas to support both the energy transition and economic growth. For the company, this entails achieving a total daily production goal of 5.66 mcm (200 mcf) per day of gas by 2026-2027, with at least 28.3 bcm (1 tcf) in 1P, 2P and 3P reserves.
